Using as many words as you'd like, what was your experience with Joel like?
Working with Joel was a great experience! He helped us understand the value of the home we sold as it was a very different type of property for the heart of Salt Lake City. Though we had a tall order of selling our home in SLC & purchasing a short sale house in Grantsville Joel stuck by our side through the very stressful transactions & helped us get into our dream home!
Why did you choose Frost Real Estate to sell your home?
Although we have several friends & family who are in the real estate business after meeting with Joel & explaining our needs & desires we knew that he was the right person for the job. With his real estate & appraisal knowledge he was able to give us the piece of mind that he would have our best unbiased interests in mind & help us with the tall order of selling our home & buying a new home with a very tight timeline.
What will you miss most about the home that you sold?
Our Salt Lake City home was where we started & raised our family. It was an amazing 104 yr old Craftsmen style home that we remodeled from the floor up. We put a lot of love in that home, but knew it was not our forever home. We will miss all the good times we had there, but will always have the memories of our first home.
What was your biggest challenge in selling your home?
The biggest challenge in selling our home was the fact that it was such a unique property. Joel was able to help with some insight around how the property would appraise & help us to get the best value for our home & property.
What is your favorite thing about your new home? Neighborhood?
This is our Dream Home! We have moved back to our roots & have better schools for our children to attend & better influences within the community.
Using as many words as you'd like, how was your home buying experience with Joel?
Joel was great to work with to purchase our home…..Though the house was not in the best shape & going through a short sale we could see the potential & really wanted to purchase this house. There were several ups & downs throughout the purchasing experience with our house, but despite the difficulties & stressful times Joel was by our side to help us through the transition regardless of what came up.
What surprised you most about the home buying process?
How overwhelming & stressful a short sale process can be. Joel went out of his way to help us through the stressful times & tried not to let us get our hopes up too high in case things ended up falling through (which almost happened a few times). He helped us with backup plans to review & even put offers in on other homes just to be sure that we were able to meet the tight timeline with the sale of our other home & avoid having a gap between the sale & purchase of our houses.
What advice would you give to someone who was thinking about working with Joel?
Joel is a great person to work with & will have your best interests in mind, he will tell it to you straight & help you out in more ways than the average real estate person! We highly recommend Joel as an appraiser & real estate agent!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Growing from my life lessons & being able to apply them to the purchase of our dream home!
